The Bob Crump (Asylum) Power Cord

(page 1)
Introduction

After completing the VenHaus power cord I just had to try this DIY power cord too. The Asylum Power Cord and the VenHaus Power Cord are often compared between each other, be it on one news group or another, and from time to time there's quite a debate on which sounds better. So here's a chance for you to read my take on which works better for me. If you had a chance to compare these two, drop us a line and tell us your preference.

This DIY power cord is called the Asylum power cord because Bob Crump of TG Audio Lab originally posted the project on Audio Asylum. You can find the original text by clicking here. I will stick to the original plan in most part, deviating slightly only in regards to the drain wire (more about that soon).
Warning

AC power is dangerous and can be life threatening if misused. Take all safety precautions and if you are not 100% sure in what you are doing - don't do it!

Please consult our disclaimer page.
