The Platform

Construction
Two or three pieces of glass about 5 to 10mm thick stack on top of each other with drops of silicon between them. The silicon is preferably applied at about the same point of the legs of the CD player or amp. Just a drop. Need to experiment for effect on CD player (therefore this tweak is 'customizable')

Setup
Just place it under the CD player.

Use

Performance
It opened out the soundstage and the instruments each have a more focus location. Bass is also tighter (need to experiment with the silicon). Its quite amazing how this simple tweak works.

Other
The idea behind this tweak is to provide an isolation to the CD source so as to reduce vibration. Silicon has this elasticity to absorbed the vibration and the glass is solid enough as not to add to the vibration itself (unlike wood).
